Historic Photographs
The Photographic Archive of the Polk County Historical Association was initiated by former board member Louise Frisbie. Members of the Association contributed photographs from their personal collections. Many of these photographs were submitted to the Florida State Archives, where they can be viewed online. Polk County Historical Quarterly
The Polk County Historical Association publishes its historical quarterly, now known as Polk Proud History, as a service to its members and to the wider historical community. The quarterly features scholarly historical papers written by academic, student, and local historians. Most articles feature Polk County or Central Florida themes. We welcome submission of articles for future publication. Please contact us for guidelines.

An index and complete series of the quarterly are available at the Polk County Historical and Genealogical Library at 100 East Main Street in Bartow, FL. Our online digital archive contains searchable PDF files of issues between June 1974 and 2019.
